A Burra Ideas Morning

Date:
16 May 2010 - 10:00am - 12:30pm

Burra Landcare is hosting a Sunday  morning discussion to toss around ideas about three of the major issues in rural residential life; water, weeds and feral animals. Come to the Burra Hall around 10am on the 16th of May to join in. Whether you have been in Burra for 5minutes or 50years, these three issues create serious and constant work for everyone. We will be discussing:

  • Water - its use and management
  • Weeds - what do they look like and how do you control them
  • Ferals - what to do.

Expert speakers, who know a great deal about water management and weeds, will provide a starter to our own discussions and exchange of ideas.

A newly developed package by the Molonglo Catchment Group about pest animals will be available along with the groups excellent package to help identify and manage weeds.

Landcare is also able to advise people about funding for training, e.g. Chemcert -the training required to be certified to use restricted chemicals.

Morning tea with cakes will be available from 10 to 10:30am, and the discussions will be finished by 12:30pm.
